Here's the final work of my photoshoot with my cousin Frances. I really LOVE how this turned out! I wanted to capture this sense of her being warmed and comforted by washes of color. I got the idea because I know how much she loves warm weather and when I took this shot, it looked like she was luxuriating in the summer sun. I chose to isolate the color within a black and white hue to give the sense that she was unthawing from the cold winter (which we're all still trying to do in frigid New York).
Frances' portrait is the first in a new series that I will be working where I incorporate people with my Inkscapes. I thought it was only fitting since she was the first one to tell me that she thought I was onto something with them. She makes these inks look good!
